Personally, I'm sick of hearing about it's nostalgia value. It's too short and the story sucks. I mean you can beat the E4 with a Level 43 Feraligatr and a Level 40 Ho-oh. Also its easy and simply doesn't deserve its popularity. Its good but for old Pokémon games, I'll stick with Yellow.

They added the secondary adventure in Kanto for a reason, Johto alone would be useless in all honesty.

I prefer GSC to RBY, RSE, DP. I liked the Pokémon better and Johto itself was a good region, I liked also liked te idea of having Kanto at the end of the Johto league, what would have been more fun though is if they brought it out a remake for the DS and brought the Orange League into it, so you could do the challenges with the Touch screen.

I have my doubts that the Orange Islands will ever be release in the main video game series. Because of the lack of a huge story like say, a totally new adventure, an Orange Islands game for the Wii would be amazing in my opinion, maybe even free roaming like the main games too.
If they remade Gold & Silver for the DS they may well become my favourite games, but the Game Boy Color versions weren't my favourites at all, neither were the originals (unless you include Yellow), but now Leaf Green and Fire Red are my overall favourite Pokemon Games, albeit closely followed by Diamond and Pearl.

I doubt the Orange Islands would ever have any place in the games, but I still think it would have been a cool idea to tag onto Johto since Orange Islands did happen when they were about to go to Johto meaning it's probably the closest region to them other them possibly Kanto. Plus if Lyoko really thinks Johto was that short it seems it would be the best place to have them. I agree about the Orange Island Wii game... I'd just prefer it on the DS so I won't need a new Console XD.
